We cannot look to teachers alone to raise readers; we all have a role to play and we are all affected by the reading abilities of others.
The Dr. Seuss book “Green Eggs and Ham,” at 50, is still appealing to children and adults worldwide. ReadAloud will celebrate the book’s milestone anniversary with “Seuss-a-Palooza!” this week.
The fundraising event, to be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Brickstreet Insurance, 400 Quarrier Street in Charleston.
